A fun interactive iAd for Emirates promoting their luxurious fleet of A380s.
Apple gave Emirates the opportunity to be the first brand in the UK to advertise on the iAd platform. We created a simple interaction which drew in users and rewarded them with an enjoyable experience. This HTML5 ad prompted users to take a seat at the first class bar onboard the A380 by swiping through 40,000ft of sky.

Up in the clouds
On the way to the first class cabin users could fly through the layers of clouds. We produced realistic cloud formations using a single image, ensuring filesize was kept to a minimum.
We made one pixel represent one foot, ensuring the user had to work hard to earn their drink.

As we were one of the first in Europe to build an iAd, we received special training at Apple HQ in Silicon Valley and advice from the engineers who built the platform.
The simple interaction rewards users with a fun experience. This was shown by the results. The ad set records for user engagement on the platform at the time.
